This site contains a description of the course material and the course structure of Bioinformatics: Data science for the life sciences at Western University.
By the end of this course, you will have:
fluency with many bioinformatics tools in the context of molecular evolution, genomic organization, ecological systems, cell biology, and human health related challenges;
important data science skills that will give you the ability to explore biological datasets;
solid programming skills primarily with

;the capacity to create rich, meaningful and interactive visualizations of data;
insight into the many current issues including reproducibility in basic life sciencs and health research;
